Where is Just Butchers Gangnam?
At 110 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on basement level 1. It is about 160m from Gangnam Station (Line 2 · Sinbundang Line) along Teheran-ro — roughly a five-minute walk — and the restaurant is one floor below street level. Among gangnam korean restaurants serving Hanwoo, it is one of the easier ones to reach on foot.
What are the opening hours and the break time?
Monday to Friday 11:30–22:00, and Saturday and Sunday 12:00–21:00. The afternoon break runs 15:00–17:30 on weekdays and 16:00–17:30 at weekends; last orders are 14:00 and 21:00 on weekdays, 15:00 and 20:00 at weekends.
Can I make a reservation?
Yes — by phone, on 02-501-7020. Some items are limited: the whole outside skirt (600g) needs an advance reservation, so mention the cut you want when you book.
Is there a private room or seating for groups?
Yes — there is a private room and 30 seats for groups. The private room is built around one long table with grills set into it, which suits a business dinner or a team meal; for larger parties, call ahead to check availability.
Do you serve raw dishes such as beef tartare (ユッケ)?
Yes. Hanwoo beef tartare (ユッケ) is ₩35,000 for 130g, and beef tartare with abalone and roasted seaweed is ₩44,000 for 200g (150g tartare, 50g abalone). Both are trimmed in house by the butcher, and at lunch the same beef comes as tartare bibimbap for ₩18,000.
Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available in the building car park. The restaurant is also a five-minute walk from Gangnam Station if you would rather come by subway.
What do the lunch courses include?
There are two, both lunch-only and both from two people up. The Hanwoo BBQ course is ₩58,000 per person: a bite of beef tartare, grilled beef (100g rib finger as standard, with sirloin or tenderloin as a supplement), a meal course, and monaka ice cream. The bulgogi lunch set is ₩35,000 per person: 180g of Hanwoo bulgogi with either soybean paste stew and hot-pot rice, or Pyongyang-style cold noodles.
Is the menu available in other languages?
Yes — the same menu is available in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. This site's menu page carries all four languages too, so you can check the cuts and prices before you arrive. That is still uncommon among gangnam korean restaurants.
Can I bring my own wine?
The restaurant is corkage free. There is also a list in house — draft beer, soju, and Korean spirits such as Ilpum Jinro, Hwayo 25 and Hwayo 41.
